San Juan Suites - Conservatory

San Juan Suites Conservatory - Pet Friendly! One dog only. Located in the heart of Friday Harbor. Elegantly decorated with recent interior updates, this upstairs suite offers it all: comfort with town accessibility and with the added amenity of off-street parking.

This Studio Suite is equipped with a new King bed and a Queen Airbed mattress. The full bathroom is equipped with lots of counter space, a walk-in shower, and a jacuzzi soaking tub.

The open floor plan boasts a full kitchen equipped with appliances to prepare morning coffee and toast or a full meal. This suite is equipped with a standard, drip-style coffee maker. There is enough space for everyone around the dining room table to gather, with the living space offering a couch and two captains chairs, entertainment center with Blue Ray-DVD and HDTV with satellite television and a private outdoor balcony with a propane BBQ.

The block surrounding the San Juan Suites offers many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 1-minute walk from the San Juan Suites!

Conveniently located just a short walk from the ferry for those wishing to leave their car behind on the mainland. However, parking is available for those who bring a car. One car per unit.

Guests traveling with a dog will enjoy close access to the local dog park "Eddie and Friends Dog Park", or many other local parks including Sunken Park, Jackson Beach, and LaFarge Open Space.

1 dog per reservation with a pet fee. Dog is not to be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended and a neighbor calls to complain, renter will be charged a $200 fee. Weight must be less than 60 lbs. No pets on furniture, including bed/bedding. Renter assumes responsibility for all extra cleaning needed such as emergency carpet cleaning, furniture replacement, and or emergency laundromat use for bulky items like comforters and pillows. Dog must be house trained and on-leash while outside.

This unit is equipped with Central Air.

  I took myself away for my birthday to the islands. The conservatory was a perfect getaway. In town close to restaurants and stores, quiet enough to feel like you were all alone. The room was large and clean,and the jet tub was the star of the show. I was lucky enough to see the wild fox out at near American Camp every day and took them up on the 15% off whale watch trip. We were on a family of orcas within 15 min of the harbor and spent the next 3 hours with them. All in all it was a wonderful birthday getaway.

  My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved the room. The location was fantastic, especially if you are exploring other islands. You are a block off the ferry ramp. We liked staying right downtown, all the restaurants and shops are at your feet. The room itself was the perfect size for 2 and could easily fit one maybe two children. The room was clean, well appointed and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was great after a day of hiking. I also enjoyed being able to cook a steak I picked up at the local farmer’s market. We would stay here again.

  I was in Friday Harbor for work, and brought my family along. We stayed at the Conservatory because it was dog friendly. The location is perfect for walking around town. We drove the island loop and went to American camp, English camp, and Lime Kiln Point. Our stay was great, my only complaint is that the provided parking spot for the room is not large truck friendly (four door truck w/ 8’ bed), luckily it was the off season and not a lot of other vehicles.

  We love the location of the San Juan Suites. We’ve stayed here before and returned because it’s a lovely unit, well furnished, and walking distance to so much. Since it is right downtown and right next to the ferry lines, there is noise related to traffic, but we do not mind because the convenience and quality can’t be beat. There is no elevator, but the stairs are not too steep. The king size bed is very comfortable. The large jetted tub was great for soaking sore muscles after long hikes. The kitchen is nicely furnished, making it easy to cook. The gas stove kept us toasty on chilly days. We liked the large dining table for working a puzzle on rainy nights. The in-unit washer/dryer was great for refreshing our honking clothes. We will stay here again!

  This was a great place to stay, and probably would work fine for a long-term rental. Everything was very well done and very attractive. There was a bit of early morning noise from trucks lining up for the ferry, but there is a machine to deal with noise.
  
  Restaurants, coffee shops and a market are very close by too. There is one off-street parking space for each unit, and they might be a bit tight if all four are in use, but we had no real problem. They do note that there is a two hour parking limit for on-street parking during the day.

  We came here for our 10th anniversary and had a great time. Location is very central, we could walk all over the downtown area. Weather didn't cooperate on Saturday, but we still enjoyed our time. Every place we ate had excellent food. Like others have mentioned there was music Friday night, but it stopped at 11, there was no music Saturday. Only comment would be that it would be nice to have some curtains to make it darker in the unit, sun is still coming up early this time of year.

  My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this condo. It was very clean, plenty of room - very comfortable. We ate all of our meals here during our stay as the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, dishes, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, etc. We had everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing time in Friday Harbor. The staff called us the second day we were there to see if we needed anything. We appreciated their willingness to help us if needed. We have no complaints and highly recommend this and the other condos that are managed by San Juan Property Management.

  This was our first trip to this area and we wanted a good base from which to explore the island. We also needed sleeping space for three and an area where we could entertain family. We attended a wedding in Roche Harbor and Lakedale resort which was an easy short drive away. We were able to check-in early however we diddn't find out until the day of check-in, which was a little stressful. Overall, great space, clean, well stocked. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

  We stayed in the pet friendly conservatory for a week. It was perfect! So pleased we were able to find a beautiful and affordable place to stay with our dog. The conservatory is right above an ice cream parlor and lavender store - Amazing! Secured location and off street parking - AWESOME! Within walking distance to the market, restaurants, ferry terminal, coffee shops....pretty much everything in Friday Harbor. We can't wait to come back and will definitely stay here again.

  My husband and I stayed at the San Juan Suites Conservatory for 2 nights for our 10 year anniversary in August 2016 and it was great. The property manager was very quick to respond to my messages and booking the apartment was a breeze.
  
  I am very picky about where I stay and found this apartment to be very neat and clean. It was very spacious and comfortable. The place is exactly as shown in the the pictures. It is well-maintained with nice appliances throughout. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal, including basic staples like coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. There is also a grill on the balcony, but we didn't have a chance to use it during our stay. Loved the in-room washer and dryer as well as the extra blankets and pillows in the closet.
  
  The apartment is in a fabulous location, just a block from the ferry terminal and right in the middle of town, so we easily walked everywhere with this place as our home base. The shuttle stop is also very close by, so easy access to public transportation. The coffee shop below the apartment (The Bean Cafe) was excellent, and there is a grocery store just down the block. The apartment is situated over a busy street but we didn't notice any noise from cars/ferry traffic or the restaurant/bar across the street.
  
  Very minor quibbles: The wifi was adequate for checking e-mail etc. but it was not strong enough for streaming. We brought our Amazon Fire Stick to watch movies in the evenings but had to use our phone's data plan in order to stream since wifi caused continuous buffering issues. Also the cable package was very basic (no HGTV, FoodNetwork, ESPN, CNN, etc.).
  
  Overall we loved our stay here and would recommend it. The next time we come back to Friday Harbor and need a place to stay, this will be the first place we look.

  We booked at a very late date in peak season. The process of booking was simple.
  Once we arrived, the location was better than we could have asked for. We were just steps from the Friday Harbor Ferry. The central location made traveling without a car so much easier.
  The unit was just as seen in the online photos.
  It certainly met our needs and surpassed our expectations
  If you are looking for a room with a view, this is not for you--we knew this going in and were OK.
  I would definitely stay there again and consider one of the other rooms with a view of the Harbor if available.
  Don't let the view prevent you from renting--it is well worth it. And pricing was very reasonable.

  We've walked by the entrance a hundred times and never realized that these SJI gems were RIGHT above us!!
  SUCH a convenient location to everything in Friday Harbor!
  Good rates, super clean condo that's perfect for two...or a young family as there isn't enough privacy or bathroom space for 4 adults.
  No matter WHERE you stay in Friday Harbor, there will be noise from restaurants, garbage trucks, ferries, foot traffic, etc... I would agree with other reviews about the noise from the PepperMill Restaurant/Lounge across the street (at least it was GOOD music!). We solved that by simply turning on the exhaust fan over the stove and it drowned out the noise so that we were sound asleep in no time!
  We'll definitely stay at one of the SJI properties in this location!!

  We expected terrific accomodations and we weren't disappointed! The condo (the Conservatory) was perfect...cozy, comfortable and located downtown Friday Harbor. We enjoyed dinner across the street and the live music and continued to enjoy the music after we returned to the condo. It was quiet by 11pm. A great long weekend for us and another memorable trip to Friday Harbor.
