Tucked among beautiful Madrona trees on 7.5 private acres, Madrona Hideaway offers something increasingly hard to find—a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to get away from it all. With no traffic noise and no sounds of cars passing by, you can wake to the sounds of nature, spend an afternoon relaxing among the trees, and step outside at night to enjoy a sky filled with stars.

This welcoming three-bedroom, two-bath home is located on the west side of San Juan Island, close to San Juan County Park and Lime Kiln Point State Park, two favorite spots for taking in the island’s spectacular sunsets and watching for whales.
One of the pleasures of Madrona Hideaway is simply spending time outdoors. A large deck with a dining table and chairs provides a wonderful place for morning coffee, an afternoon glass of wine, or dinner outside surrounded by the peaceful woodland setting. The property’s distinctive Madrona trees—with their beautiful twisting branches and peeling red-and-gold bark—give the landscape a character all its own.

Inside, large windows bring in abundant natural light and views of the surrounding trees. The spacious open-concept living area is designed for gathering with family and friends. The kitchen features all-new stainless-steel appliances and plenty of room to prepare everything from a quick breakfast to a special dinner while still being part of the conversation in the adjoining dining and living areas.

The home is comfortable throughout the seasons, with radiant heated concrete floors providing cozy warmth during cooler months. The surrounding trees filter the summer sun, and two of the bedrooms have individual mini-split systems for additional heating and air conditioning when needed.

And while Madrona Hideaway feels wonderfully removed from the outside world, you don't have to disconnect unless you want to. High-speed internet makes it easy to stream, stay in touch, or work remotely.

Whether your days are spent exploring San Juan Island, watching the sunset from the west side, enjoying dinner on the deck, or simply relaxing beneath the Madrona trees, Madrona Hideaway offers a private and peaceful island retreat with room to slow down and enjoy the natural beauty around you.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Bedroom #1: 1st floor bedroom with a Queen bed.
Bedroom #2: 1st floor bedroom with twin beds.
Bedroom #3: 2nd floor spacious bedroom with a Queen bed
There is also a 2nd floor spacious upper loft with Queen bed and a private en suite bathroom.
This house is only permitted to sleep 6 people.
