The Blue Water Inn and Suites has an open and spacious shared common area with a full kitchen, spacious living room, work desk and two Smart TV's. Or, you can relax and watch a movie in your private room with two queen beds and a full bathroom. The China Pearl Suite is located off of Spring Street and when windows are open, you may hear slight street noise.

This is the perfect spot for a solo traveler, couples, or a group trip to San Juan Island. Rent a single room or multiple rooms for your experience on San Juan Island.

  The location is great for walking Friday Harbor as you are staying directly in the middle of town. The drawback was the noise level. Our room (1 out of 6 with a shared dining/living room space) was the China Pearl and we overlooked Spring street which is the main boulevard through town and directly across from the ferry load/unload zone so during the ferry unload there is an excessive amount of traffic and subsequently noise.
  The room itself was very clean and new feeling with plenty of space but not much in it. Could use a desk or possibly a small couch. Three large windows so even on a hot day we could regulate the temperature as there was no air conditioning. There was a large fan in the room which helped considerably but there was no box of tissue and we only had one wash cloth between the two of us for three nights.
  The shared space was very large and the kitchen was clean and had anything you might need to prepare meals.
  All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends as long as you get the China Pearl (3 large windows) or the Shogun which I believe has its own balcony.

  We loved staying in the China Pearl Suite at the Blue Water Inn. From the helpful instructions for accessing and the affordable pricing to the thoughtful accommodations, comfortable beds, and clean rooms, I would highly recommend the Blue Water Inn. We really enjoyed the common space, especially, the huge windows that overlooked the harbor, and the location, which is so walkable, can’t be beat!

  I would recommend this rental for anyone interested in staying in Friday Harbor. You are walking distance to all shops, restaurants and all that the harbor has to offer. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of space for 2 or even 4 people. With the added bonus of the living area (shared with other guests), its super convenient. While we were there, we did not see another person so we really used the living spaces for lounging and making snacks and cocktails. The view is a little obstructed but you can still see the harbor. I would definitely stay here again.
