Pet Friendly! Comfortable home on the North End! (NBH)

Neil Bay Hideaway is situated on little over an acre with views from living, dining, and recreation rooms of Neil Bay and Spieden Island. This two-bedroom, two-bathroom home has plenty of room for children and the family dog to play and romp in the fenced backyard and is conveniently located a short walk to the historic seaport town of Roche Harbor for fine restaurants, shopping, walking the docks, or playing on the beach at the isthmus.

Nice open floor plan so families can be together while cooking in the kitchen, playing foosball in the game room or watching sports on the 65" HD TV in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a separate dining room with a table and six chairs, plus two extra upholstered folding chairs for added seating. Don't worry about bringing salt and pepper. The owner tries to provide most spices you would need, along with olive oil, vinegar, etc. They even try to keep some coffee in stock.

The owners offer a wood burning stove in the recreation room and a fireplace in the living room. Wood is available at no charge on the property. Free internet and DirecTV is available. The primary bedroom is a king with a full bath and TV, the guest room is a queen with full bath, and the game room now has a sofa bed that can accommodate your children or adults.

Nearby activities include playing on the beach at the isthmus, swimming at the Roche Harbor pool for a nominal fee, taking a stroll through Roche Harbor’s sculpture park, kayaking, gin tasting, hiking nearby trails and parks, fishing, crabbing and exploring Roche Harbor and Friday Harbor.

During the warm island months, enjoy an evening dinner outside in the beautifully landscaped yard with the propane Weber BBQ grill and comfortable outdoor dining area. The fenced backyard is the perfect spot for your family pup to play or simply relax in the outdoor doghouse. The house is perfect for two couples, their family and dogs to enjoy time to relax and unwind while enjoying the quiet of the Neil Bay neighborhood.

***Firepit only usable if San Juan County is not currently in a county enforced burn ban; burn ban is typically in place during summer months/ dry season. Please check burn ban status prior to arrival. Firewood is provided for off-season.

One house-trained, less than 65-pound dog per reservation with a pet fee. If a request for an additional dog is made, an additional fee will be assessed. Only two dogs maximum are allowed. Dogs are not to be left unattended. If a dog is left unattended and a neighbor calls to complain about noise or other disruption by the dog, renter will be charged a $200 fee. Pets are not allowed on furniture. Renter assumes responsibility for all extra cleaning needed such as emergency carpet cleaning, furniture replacement, and or emergency laundromat use for bulky items like comforters and pillows. Dogs must be house trained, and on-leash while outside.

Yard service takes place twice per month at this property.

The internet / Wi-Fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.

  We made a booking error and arrived on the wrong date. We made contact with San Juan Property Management, who worked with us after hours to find a place. We had to find a hotel the first night, but they took pity on us and found us this wonderful place for the next 2 nights, and they even allowed us to check in early. We had coolers full of food, so this was very much appreciated. The home was lovely and well stocked. It even had a fenced in back yard for our two small dogs.   Looking at the pictures, I thought this house might be small. It is decorated beautifully, it has open spaces, outdoor areas, a fenced yard and two lovely bedrooms, one with a spacious bathroom. This house was so organized, so well equipped. We own our own vacation rental but I took pictures of their obvious success with the systems in this rental.
  The best gift was the view. We even saw whales go through the channel. My husband wants to live in your home. Thank you for keeping your home in such perfect condition.

  Very much enjoyed this luxurious and inviting home in a picturesque community near Roche Harbor. House was private, spacious, comfortable, clean, and well-stocked for an excellent stay. High-quality throughout, from the furniture to the beds to the kitchen. Bright fenced yard with a lovely patio, table, and BBQ let us enjoy the nice weather.
  
  Only note is on the bedrooms - while there's plenty of common space, this home would be slightly tight for 2 couples as the second bedroom is on the smaller side.

  We loved the home. It was beautifully decorated in transitional style with large windows that looked over an expansive front lawn and a view of the water, perfect for relation. The house was in both walking and driving distance of Roche Harbor, which was located up a main road from the house (walking took about 30 minutes one way). We chose to eat meals at the house, and the spacious kitchen had every dish or utensil that we needed. When we weren't at Roche Harbor we enjoyed relaxing at the house, sitting outside in the sunshine at the outside table or in the comfortable living room. We loved seeing a group of deer lounge on the front lawn each evening. We enjoyed the Victorian elegance of Roche Harbor, taking in a 3-hour sea kayaking tour one morning and sampling Lime Kiln donuts afterwards (both recommended!).

Fresh olive oil, spices, coffee, kitchen supplies, plenty of towels and blankets. We’d love to rent this place again. Gorgeous view of San Juan Channel. Walking distance to beautiful Roche Harbor. The listing shows car dependent but the walk down Afterglow Drive is a breathtaking mile through the trees that smell like sweet pine. The McMillan mausoleum and sculpture park are on the way.

  We had a wonderful week stay at the Neil bay hide away house. It was so clean and comfortable. There was not anything we needed that was not already provided. This home was beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the birds and deer. Pretty view of the water too. The property sits on an acre and is nice and private. It’s a nice little walk to Roche Harbor, beaches and the mausoleum. We look forward to coming back and staying here again.

  We had a great time on our trip and Neil Bay Hideaway was a perfect house for our family of 5. The house is in a great location near Roche Harbor but off the main roads so felt quite remote and quiet. The house was really clean and quite spacious for the five of us. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed a nice fire with S’mores at the fire pit. Just down the road was a nice beach where we took the kids to swim (maybe 2 minute drive). Would definitely stay at the Hideaway again!

  We brought our 4 kids to Neil Bay Hideaway and had a fantastic time. The close proximity to the beach was wonderful and we walked to Roche Harbor as well. The house has every amenity of home making it so easy to transition everyone to. Loved the crab pots! We caught our first crab. Kids loved the foosball table as well and the kitchen with all needed cooking instruments (and grill!) made meal prep easy. The restaurant food on the island is a bit spendy, so that was a big plus for us. San Juan Property Management provided detailed communication and information. All around, a great experience and we look forward to returning one day!

  This is a beautiful home just a 10 minute walk from Roche Harbor and a 20 minute drive from Friday Harbor. Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights this past week and it was wonderful. Home is very comfortable with plenty of sleeping space and kitchen was very well appointed. We had trouble with wifi but property management company was incredibly persistent in working with us to solve the problem. Could see water from the front window and saw plenty of deer and fox throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here.
