This three-bedroom home with views of San Juan Channel has the perfect mix of island charm and relaxing atmosphere. Close to Roche Harbor, Reuben Tarte Park, Frisbee Golf Course, and English Camp National Park; this home is the perfect place for the outdoor lover, bird watcher and hiker. (Limestone Beach Retreat).

This modern vacation home is located at Limestone Point in the northeast corner of San Juan Island. This quiet and secluded location feels a world away, yet minutes from nearby activities.

Sleep comfortably in the primary suite with a king bed, private bathroom, Smart TV, and incredible water views. Two additional bedrooms, each with queen beds, have orchard views. Roll-away twin cot and pack-n-play are on site. White-noise machines are provided in each of the guest bedrooms.

On the other side of the living room you will find the fully equipped chef’s kitchen with Viking Professional appliances, All-Clad cookware, and everything else you’ll need for your culinary enjoyment. This home is equipped with a standard, drip-style coffee maker and a French press. With the open layout, there is plenty of seating and counter space for everyone to be working in the kitchen, playing games in the dining room, or lounging nearby in the living room around the cozy gas fireplace. This home provides a children's booster seat as well as a highchair.

Whether you are relaxing on the large deck, lined with Adirondack chairs, or sitting in the cozy living room, you will enjoy panoramic views of San Juan Channel including Orcas and Shaw Islands with Mt. Baker in the background. San Juan Channel is a great spot for watching all kinds of vessels pass by. You may even see an occasional transient orca swim past the shoreline. Walk down the stairs to a wide, secluded, ever-changing beach. Picturesque colors during sunsets and sunrises are not to be missed. You will leave feeling refreshed from your island getaway.

Location: 10 miles from the Friday Harbor ferry terminal. Only 3 miles from Roche Harbor Resort and its amenities, makes it easy to grab groceries, fresh seafood at the dock, a cappuccino, or a meal at one of the resorts restaurants. Westcott Bay Oyster Farm, English Camp and Young Hill are nearby for historic hikes and views of the Olympic Mountains and Vancouver Island. The local disc golf course and Roche Harbor hiking/biking trails are just 1 mile away. Reuben Tarte Park is a 10-minute walk from the house, along a quiet and tree-lined neighborhood road.

The wide green lawn ends with stairs that lead down to the shared beach. During the Fall and Winter, the stairs can be slippery so guests must use the beach stairs at their own risk.

Pets are not allowed at this property.

  If you need to get away from the daily grind and relax, this is the place for you. We loved our stay. Our favorite part was the easy access to the rock beach and the serenity of the stay. In the evenings we witnessed wonderful sunsets while watching and listening to the seals play in the water. The house is right sized for a family. You are a short drive from Roche harbor if you need coffee in the morning or a dinner at night. Definitely book a whale watching tour.

  Our family totally enjoyed our week here. Spent a lot of time just sitting and watching the boats go by. There is small family of deer that like to visit, they are not shy about checking out the humans. Located within easy drive to reach store and restaurants. The washer and dryer was appreciated since my granddaughter liked to play on beach, she liked digging in the rocks. Would stay here again.

  Everything was as described. Very comfortable, excellent facilities and wonderful views. Minor issues: The internet id in the emailed instructions was incorrect. However, the correct id was subsequently found next to the sofa . Internet worked fine. On day 2 the auto door lock feature stopped working. The property management helped us troubleshoot the problem and fix it. We look forward to returning!!

  We so enjoyed our stay at the Limestone Beach Retreat. The location was fabulous with easy access to the beach. The first morning my daughter and I saw 6 seals in the water just off the shore. So fun! The place itself has such a great flow and feel. The decor has a calmness to it and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking (including sharp knives which I rarely find in a rental!). The place was well stocked with plenty of kitchen towels, kleenex, bath towels, paper towels, etc. I appreciate it when I don't feel like I have to ration one box of kleenex or two dish towels for the entire stay! The beds were comfortable and the master has a fabulous view of Puget Sound. All in all, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

  Myself and 2 couples stayed in this home. It was perfect for the 5 of us! It was even more impressive than the photos. The lighting in the house was amazing. The water is much closer than expected. We were blown away by the stove and all the kitchen amenities. The open floorplan allowed us to move from living room, to dining room, to kitchen easily. When we visited there was a crazy wind/rain storm but we loved being cozy and warm inside around the fire. They even had a game closet that kept us busy! Highly recommend this house! We will be back for a summer trip for sure!

Loved the beach - a little tricky to get to, but great pleasure to explore. The ferry boats going by were spectacular to watch in all their glory. So relaxing. Only one of us made it up in time for sunrise, but the pictures he took were amazing. The view of Mt. Baker was an unexpected treat.   The property has been renovated well so it is very comfortable with a lovely view. We saw lots of wildlife—even saw Orcas from this spot—so even though we wanted to spend as much time as we could exploring the island, we also very much wanted to stay put because we enjoyed the house so much. We thought it was well appointed and appreciated the environmentally friendly products available to use. I respectfully do have a few suggestions. I would either install ceiling fans or provide portable fans for the bedrooms. Even though it would cool off in the evenings, the house got rather stuffy even with opening the windows. Some extra airflow would help with that. Provide some kitchen scissors as part of the kitchen set up. If you cook in, as we did, they are super helpful for opening food packaging. I also think the gas stove should be checked out. There was one stove eye that didn’t light properly. And finally, be sure all burnt out light bulbs are replaced. There were several out and while it wasn’t a huge issue, it was annoying not to have lights working entirely.
