Enjoy expansive views of Westcott Bay from this home near Roche Harbor. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is perfect for your San Juan Island getaway. With many new updates, this home is the perfect spot for you and your family.

The open concept living space on the main floor includes a well-equipped kitchen with a 2nd oven with a convection cooking option. The kitchen is supplied with all appliances, including a dishwasher, electric range, microwave oven and refrigerator. This home offers the option of a Keurig Coffee Maker or a standard Drip Coffee Maker. A coffee grinder and a French Press are stocked as well. The dining table offers wonderful scenic views and seating for 8.

The living room is equipped with two couches and a flat screen Smart-TV, DirecTV, DVR and wireless speaker with voice assistant. The house is equipped with high-speed wireless internet service. The large outdoor deck has a picnic table, a gas BBQ, and Adirondack chairs for viewing beautiful sunsets overlooking the Bay. There is not an Air Conditioning unit in this home, as the ocean breeze and a few open windows (screened in) are more than enough to cool the home down on even the warmest summer day.

This home is equipped with King-sized beds in each bedroom (4 King beds total, 1 in each bedroom). The first bedroom is found on the main-floor, with a Full bathroom adjacent (double sinks, toilet, combo tub/shower). The remaining 3 bedrooms are located in the downstairs of the home accessed by the staircase in the living room. Each bedroom is equipped with a King sized bed, and share access to the 3/4 newly-remodeled bathroom. (walk-in shower, sink, toilet). Two of the downstairs bedrooms have their own door to the outside.

Just a 5 minute drive, or about a 15-minute walk, from scenic and historic Roche Harbor, which offers restaurants, a grocery store, and a variety of shops and tourist sites. Because of some of its unique plant life, Westcott Bay is one of the few environmentally protected bays left on San Juan Island. That means the bay has no commercial marinas, making it free from major boat gas and oil pollution. This is one of the reasons Westcott Bay is one of the leading producers of clams and oysters, which are abundant and easily obtainable when the tide is out. There is a commercial oyster farm at the end of Westcott Bay Road just a short drive away, where you can purchase freshly farmed Westcott Bay oysters! Another unique characteristic of this property is the close proximity to endless amounts of trails to hike in the National Park of English Camp. Visitors are very likely to see other local wildlife from this property, including, bald eagles, deer, foxes, otters, pelicans and owls, to name just a few.

  Our experience was excellent. We were attending a wedding and all the associated celebrations at Roche Harbor Resort so it was important we be close. It is def. with walking distance but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. (There is a hilly route and a flatter route to the resort btw) House was clean, beds / linens cozy, well equiped with everything you'd need (in the kitchen, washing machine, games for kids and adults, books galore). And a beautiful, serene view we loved each morning. Furnishings and carpet a little dated but we were very happy we chose this property.

  Our week stay in July 2021 at White Point Paradise exceeded our expectations. It was only a 5 minute walk from the Roche Harbor Sculpture Garden. The place is well equipped with comfy king sized beds in all 4 bedrooms and nice linens throughout. The washer and dryer were a nice bonus. In the kitchen there are 2 full ovens plus a large frig and functional dishwasher. BBQ worked great and extra propane supplied. Lots of supplies were available (saran wrap, baggies, coffee, spices) as well as a plates, cups and silverware service for at least 12 (maybe 16).
  
  We brought 2 boats because Roche Harbor marina wasn’t making reservations for short term slips (Canada was still closed to Americans) and we feared we would have to anchor in front of the resort – and use a little Boston Whaler as a dingy. We had planned to beach the little Boston Whaler on the muck during low tide but that wouldn’t have worked here. WPP is so far up the bay and the tidal exchange is soooo extreme that there is no hope of beaching your boat in front of the cabin. The little Boston Whaler remained on the trailer. Lesson is that you are staring at muck about 1/2 of the day during low tide. Not to worry – the muck was interesting. Lots of seagulls dropping clams and oysters on the rocks below and deer tromping around to the water’s edge kept it interesting.
  
  Back to the cabin - Three of the 4 bedrooms have good views of the water, only 2:4 have closets but all 4 have dressers. Most (not all) windows have screens (lots of mosquitoes). In previous reviews some have whined about the small bathroom/shower servicing 3:4 bedrooms – but we didn’t find it much of an issue. The shower in the smaller bathroom isn’t all that bad – certainly large enough to accommodate just about anyone. The larger “master" bathroom upstairs can be blocked off from the master bedroom allowing access to all.

Beds are large and very comfortable. Shell fish gathering during low tide time if you are into it. Shellfish are not abundance but it could be a fun activity.   Stayed 5 nights with another couple. Location was great. Property was in very good shape. Re arrived to huge plantings of flowering tulips and daffodils. Very inviting. The kitchen was very well stocked. We wanted for nothing.
  
  The property is set up with a nice master suite upstairs and 3 bedrooms that share a very small bathroom downstairs. The shower is tiny (kind of like in an RV). It worked and was serviceable, mostly because only 1 couple was downstairs using it. If you have all 3 bedrooms down there filled, I think it could be tough to share the tiny bathroom.

  We were all very impressed with this home. It had nearly everything you could possibly require, and we cooked Thanksgiving dinner for 12 people there. The beds and pillows were fabulous, my mother stripped her bed to determine the brand so she could replace hers at home. The only thing they don't have are speakers for music. We prefer music to TV most of the time, so that is just a personal reference. Lastly, the top of the stairs has an apprx 6" gap between the railing, top step and stairwell. It's hard to explain but I was concerned because we had guests ranging from 2yrs old to 92, for the rest of us, it wasn't a problem.
  Those two are very minor issues, otherwise the house was truly amazing. We had an excellent time!

  Owners are very accommodating. We arrived to find only the basic cable channels and as we are big sports fans, needed the sports channels to watch college football and the US Open. I called the property manager who called the owners and within hours we had the sport channels. The house is an easy walk into Roche Harbor. Very quiet location, which we like.

  Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. We appreciated your attention to detail and very much enjoyed the location. We were a group of 8 adults and felt there was plenty of privacy for each couple. All the rooms were spacious and well appointed.
  Very relaxing on the water and close to hiking and shopping. We enjoyed walking through the sculpture park located just down the road.

  Our stay in the cove was great, we had a beautiful view of the tide coming in and out, the kitchen offered all the amenities we needed to host family breakfast and dinners, which is why I aim to select a family home for a vacation over a hotel or otherwise. Very close distance to Roche Harbor and a quick drive down to Friday Harbor for shopping and exploring, and after our 4th visit to the islands we finally made it to the Sculpture Garden, and I must say it was so wonderful I cant believe we overlooked it so many times before! A must see! Thank you for making our stay hassle free, we look forward to our next visit to the islands!
