In Downtown Friday Harbor!

The Artist's Suite is a lovely, ground floor, studio suite. This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people.

The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor.

The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite!
A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021.

This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area.
This Suite does not have Air Conditioning.

  Property was an excellent condition, very clean. Amazing location so great to be so close to town, and have easy parking. Everything in the unit was well appointed and up-to-date. My only suggestion would be may be a padded, small easy chair in the front room, where the wood painted chair is now it would be nice to be able to sit in there and read.

  If you are looking to be in the heart of the downtown area this is great. We parked our car and walked everywhere from the house. Easy to find with the directions given. It had a small kitchen area which was great and we loved all the large windows in the front. We barely heard any walking around upstairs, but we were mostly out and about while in FH. My only complaint would be the bed sneaked with every move and the mattress was not the best- I have back troubles and the mattress didn't help. But overall a good experience!

    The Artist Suite is a great spot for 2, and the proximity to downtown Friday Harbor is definitely a plus. We have updated the mattress in the Artist Suite and there is now a new Queen mattress supplied. (January of 2021)

  Staff was extremely solicitous, made sure more than once that I was having a good experience. The Upstairs neighbor was very quiet, I almost didnt know anyone was up there. Parking right out front. Space was nicely decorated, had all of the necessities (except utensils). Nice fireplace, internet included, restful and peaceful indoors and out. Check in and out was a breeze. Location a very easy flat walk to town.
