Acanthus Suites - Logger's Suite

The Logger Suite is one of 5 separate Suites to rent among the Acanthus House. The Logger is a cozy, second-floor studio with a (new in December 2023) double bed, sitting area, a kitchenette with sink, and bathroom that includes a toilet, shower and small tub. It is furnished with a table and chairs.

This studio suite is equipped with Wi-fi and a Smart TV so guests can log-in to their preferred streaming services.

Guests will find that one block from Acanthus Suites will bring you into the heart of downtown Friday Harbor, offering many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5-minute walk from the Acanthus Suites!

Any or all Acanthus Suites can be rented for different group sizes!

The Acanthus House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1913, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor; only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor and is an excellent option for those coming to explore the island and have a comfortable place to rest at night.

The Acanthus House does not have Air Conditioning.
The unit does not have laundry facilities.
**Kitchenette means mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, plates, cups. Toaster available upon request. **

The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.

  The house is in a great location, I walked from the ferry and all around town comfortably. I didnt have a car and enjoyed myself. The room is nicely laid out, good breeze from the windows. It was nicely appointed with dished and such for two people. Sound does carry easily thru the halls, but everyone was respectful of quiet time and headphones easily blocked all sounds. I would happily stay here again.

  The Acanthus Suites were perfectly located for a quick walk to town. The brewery was essentially in the backyard, which was great. Ample parking. The only drawback was that there was not a bathroom sink; you needed to use the kitchen sink to wash your hands. Granted it's a small space but a tiny pedestal sink tucked in the corner would have been great. Overall, great room and excellent location.

  The "threatening charges" of $100 if you remove some item from the room and $200 if you check out later than 10:00 were a bit daunting, but we just obeyed all rules and enjoyed the location. If the click worked and the toilet seat write solidly attached, it would have been perfect. But it was a fun, quaint place to stay. We enjoyed it.
