Lofts - Dashel Suite

The Loft - Dashel Suite has extensive decorative faux painting and a unique floor plan with creative use of space.

The Dashel Suite is perfect for a small family or 2 couples looking for a fun and artistic space in downtown Friday Harbor. The Dashel Suite is laid out with 1 Queen-sized bed in the first bedroom and 1 Full-sized bed in the interior located bedroom. The living room is supplied with 2 cozy couches. There are 2 unique baths: one with a toilet and vanity, the other with a shower, vanity and washer/dryer. Enjoy making meals in the full galley-style kitchen.

It has a balcony overlooking the Saturday morning Farmers Market, a distant water view and our historic seaport. The Dashel suite is very convenient to all the activities Friday Harbor and San Juan Island has to offer. Easy walk to many restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums, whale watch and kayak operators, bike, moped and car rentals, plus an easy stroll to the Port of Friday Harbor.

The Dashel Suite does not have designated parking.


The internet / Wi-fi at this apartment should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.   The Dashel suite was quite comfortable and cozy and felt like home. Its about a 2 min. Walk from the ferry and easy to walk to...well...just about everywhere. Of course the best part was meeting the locals. I would definitely stay here again. Try Cafe Demeter across the street and rent a moped from Susie's a couple doors down. You won't be disappointed.

  The Dashel Suite worked very well for us. Location very close to waterfront and would be perfect for a "no car" trip. Kitchen was very helpful in a time quite a bit of dine in service was closed. The small porch was a nice place to wind down at the end of the day. If I was going to cite any negative, trucks do make good use Nichols Street relatively early, but I'd stay there again.

  Really great place to stay and I will surely stay here again.
  I give this place 5 STARS. so these areas of opportunity (Just my thoughts)are just suggestions:
  - Futon was a lttle rough to sleep on
  - Mirrors are for a shorter person
  - Recycle Can
  - A/C during the summer
  - More nice folding chairs and less full size chairs. Makes more room.
  Other than those little nitpicking things and me being a whiner this place ROCKS!

  This condo has great location, beautiful views from the patio, and the process for checking in and out was very easy.
  I stay in a lot of similar places (VRBO, HomeAway, AirBnB), and I wish the owners did a little bit more to ensure the comfort of their guests. The sheets and pillows on the beds are very cheap and not comfortable, there was no coffee, no soap in the shower, and the shampoo/conditioner was of very cheap quality. Small improvements such as these could have made a big difference in our stay.

  This was a great place to stay in Friday Harbor. It is a short walk to everything in Friday Harbor. It was a nice short 5 minute walk from the ferry. Hauling our luggage up the hills was a little tough but definitely doable. There were plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and excursion places all within walking distance, as well as a grocery store. The balcony is nice for sitting out on with a cup of coffee in the morning. The beds were a little squeaky and one of the beds had a weird lump at the foot of the bed. I'm short so that didn't bother me much and overall the beds were comfortable enough to get a decent night's sleep. The shower room and toilet room being separate was a little weird but it ended up working out since both had a sink and mirror so two people get ready at the same time. Also, this unit was spotless which I think spoiled us for our next rental in Seattle. Overall I would recommend this as a place to stay when visiting Friday Harbor.

  We loved the location of the suite. The layout was perfect for our family, it was very clean and well appointed. We had plenty of towels and places to hang them, plenty of dishes. Balcony was wonderful, we sat out there and watched July 4th fireworks. Within walking distance of everything. Took our car around the island and checked out Roche Harbor. Quiet area, 10/10 would stay there again!
