This private, light-filled A-frame retreat is centrally located on San Juan Island, just steps away from the Pelindaba Lavender Farm and minutes from whale watching and hiking on the Westside. Less than 10 minutes to any major point on the entire island.
Enjoy eagle spotting on the deck overlooking this expansive nine acre lake property or take in the views through floor-to-ceiling windows from a comfy recliner inside the open concept living room and kitchen.
On this beautiful 15 acre pond you can hunt for frogs along the shoreline. Although watercraft are not provided, you can cast a reel from the dock and fish for smallmouth bass (no license required). Spot ducks, swans and other waterfowl floating on the calm waters year-round, or watch junior sailing lessons on sunny July afternoons.
The home is set up with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well a full galley-style kitchen and cozy living room enhanced by the large pond-facing windows.
The Master bedroom is equipped with a private sliding-door entrance to the deck, a King sized bed, and a 3/4 bathroom with walk-in shower. Guests will also have access to the laundry room just past the master bedroom. The guest room is equipped with a Queen sized bed, and the full bathroom is adjacent to the guest room.
A sleeper-sofa is supplied in the living room, as well as a new Smart TV (2019) for streaming your favorite TV services.

This home is located approximately a 10–15-minute drive from either Friday Harbor or Roche Harbor.

From May to September, Fire pits are not usable due to dry season and fire danger on San Juan Island.
The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing. Internet Speed Test Results… Download Speed: 8.3 Mbps, Upload Speed: 1.63 Mbps, Ping: 93.5 ms (Average of three tests that were conducted late August/early September 2020 using SpeedCheck Pro).
San Juan Island is a remote location and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area.
