Waterview In Town! Located a few blocks from the ferry landing; this newly built, cozy and modern unit has everything you will need to enjoy Friday Harbor. Cannery Inn - Chelan is one of 4 rooms for rent in the Cannery Inn building. The Chelan room offers a water-view and is ideal for guests seeking outdoor activities, shopping, dining and everything else the island has to offer. Also perfect for the boater who wants to regain their land legs, as the stairs down to the Port of Friday Harbor are only a few yards away.

This unit is equipped with a water boiler and instant coffee provided upon check-in, microwave, mini fridge, full bath, queen bed, Wi-Fi and flat screen Satellite TV. Guests are also welcome to relax and take in the magnificent views from the common deck area. There is a smaller deck area attached to the unit if the you are seeking more privacy.

Downtown Friday Harbor is one short block away from the Cannery Inn. Guests can take a short stroll down the hill to visit some of Friday Harbor's best coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks.

  Gorgeous little room, excellent location. Used it as our home base for a biking trip, and was very close to the ferry, convenient to lock bikes on the private balcony area. Very clean, beautiful view of the harbor. Nice selection of tea for the morning. Pillows were the only thing that could be improved upon- they were pretty flat/not very supportive, and please provide some kind of body wash or bar soap in addition to the hand soap. Would definitely return if I were in the area again. Housekeepers were also very pleasant and helpful.

  The Chelan room has an amazing view. We sat out on the balcony and watched the boats, seaplanes a people come and go at the marina. It’s a perfect location to get to everything in Friday Harbor in just a few just walking. My only complaint would be the paper thin walls. It wouldn’t take much to put some sound proofing between the rooms.

  This is a nice room with an amazing view from a private balcony. There is an additional larger shared balcony that is wonderful as well. Comfortable and clean room. You will not be notified when the room is cleaned so that you can check in early. A 10:00 checkout seems unreasonably early.

  This room is well-appointed and walkable from everything in Friday Harbor. Parking is a breeze. Beautiful view. Our only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin between the rooms, so you can hear the conversations of the other people staying quite clearly.   Perfect little studio for our first trip to San Juan Island! The Cannery Inn is in a great location close (walking distance) to the shops and restaurants in Friday Harbor.   We found the Cannery Inn hotel room charming, centrally located, and with a spectacular view of the marina and harbor. It's easy to find from the ferry landing. Clean and well-maintained. Facility looked new. Only negative is no coffee machine, coffee mugs, wine glasses, or water glasses in the room. So if you use the paper coffee cups for water or wine, you won't have cups for coffee the following morning. There are coffee shops and a grocery store within walking distance.

  I had a wonderful time staying at the Chelan room in the Cannery Inn. The location is perfect - centrally located in town. The reason why I decided to stay here is for the view and it did not disappoint.
  
  The only negative part was that some small ants would come in through the doors and I could hear the other guests that I shared a wall with snore. Luckily there were ear buds that I could use. Also, it got cold in the evenings and I had to double up on blankets (and wear socks).
  
  I hope to stay here in the future when I visit.

Our room faced the harbor, and we spent hours just watching the ferries and sea planes come and go, and families arriving and going to their sailboats. The view was so good, and the shared deck stayed sunnier longer, we had all our dinners here rather than going to a restaurant with an inferior view. I didn't realize that the property management was not onsite, but they were responsive when I made a request. The walls are thin, as other reviewers have noted, but the clientele is 40-60, so we didn't have noisy neighbors and all were quiet by 9 or 10. I would stay here again!

  Loved the location, in Friday Harbor, overlooking the port area. New construction, quaint room with a nice patio. Has a small refrigerator and microwave which was sufficient. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights, the only recommendation is to supply more coffee and cups. We ran out the day prior to our departure so called the office to inquire, a woman said that someone would drop some by, but no one ever did, so no coffee the morning of our checkout.

  My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at the Cannery Inn. We took the clipper up from Seattle so we got in earlier than the standard check in time. They were happy to get us into the room as soon as it was clean, which was great since we had a few bags we wanted to drop off. The room was clean and perfectly decorated. It had an awesome view of the harbor and lots of sunlight. My only complaint about the building is the walls are so thin that you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Not a huge deal because no one was particularly noisy or up late. Another great perk was being able to drop our bags at the store front while we waited for the clipper to leave. The building is a perfect location to the Main Street. I would recommend it to my friends for sure.

  The best thing about this place was the doors opening onto the balcony with a panoramic view of the harbor. It is just like the picture. The room is new, very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. It is just a short walk to the harbor, restaurants and shops. You really could manage without a car, although we rented one. Didn't realize there was a shuttle that can take around the island. The room has everything you need except a coffee maker. We were there on a pretty hot weekend and my husband suggested that a ductless split air conditioner would have been nice. As I said our balcony was nice but there was also a shared patio right outside our door that we occasionally used. The walls are rather thin which explains the ear plugs provided. We were fortunate to have quiet neighbors. Personally I would not be interested in the 2 back rooms in this unit. They are too close to the side walk and road and I think would be quite hot.. The other room that faces the harbor would be ok but Cannery Inn Chelon was the best. One evening we heard music coming up from below by the harbor so we walked down on our way to dinner and enjoyed a free concert. We went whale watching with Spirit of Orca, a small boat that takes only 6 passengers. We had a great experience. We also Kayaked with Discovery Sea Kayaks and would recommend them. They take you to the other side of the island where you are more likely to sea wildlife. I would recommend Coho for a nice dinner. Our waitress was a bit of a wine snob but otherwise the experience was good. The food was very good. I would not recommend Friday's Crab House.

  This place was amazing! The view from the deck cannot be beat! The property description is accurate! It was hard to leave and go see the many things Friday Harbor as to offer. You can walk everywhere in the downtown area and then take the inter-island shuttle to site see if you don't want to bring a car. The unit was spotless with a comfortable bed! A perfect unit for 2 persons! We will most definitely be back!!
